Before that, she completed a multimedia journalism project in Quito, Ecuador about the effect of Rights of Nature on indigenous communities. Most recently, she visited Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – her refugee father's hometown – to investigate the contemporary art scene. Over the past four years, Kiddest had the privilege to travel internationally to over 20 countries to conduct independent research under Yale University. Together, the two of them also produced two YouTube miniseries – "Skate Virgins" and "Swipe Right" – satirical reality TV shows that poke fun at the absurdity of skate culture and online dating. Over the past year, the two of them have accumulated over 350,000 streams across platforms. She also makes music under the alter-ego "CyberGirlfriend" – a comedic dream pop duo she created with her best friend Bri Flasch. Outside of work, Kiddest is an English Writing tutor for ESL students. She has published a number of music reviews, curated playlists, and interviews with emerging indie artists like Gus Dapperton, Peach Tree Rascals, Remi Wolf and more. She is also the Associate Editor of All Things Go, a D.C. She also hosted own radio show "Deep Thots on the Deep Web" and "Big Kitsch Energy."Īs of now, she is a Staff Writer for Lithium Magazine, where she writes pop culture thought pieces and personal essays about race, technology and social media. Before committing herself to being a full-time creative, she was a Beat Reporter for Yale Daily News and the Editor-in-Chief for Yale Rumpus, her university's satire magazine. in English Literature and Creative Writing.
